First of all a BIG thanks!
I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you! There are so many people in the community that have gone out of their way to help out this program and the children in it. This is not a plug for businesses, but a plug for good people in our community. A school is only as strong as it's community!
A big thanks to the following organizations and people
P. Millo and Sons: (203) 336-2555
Jeff Millo has been helping me out since day one here at Jockey Hollow and continues to provide us with the best quality materials at the most affordable prices. He always throws in some extra goodies and scraps for our class and goes out of his way to help.
The Monroe P.T.O
Every year, the P.T.O continues to invest in the program- providing the classroom with modern equipment and supplies. This year we received a vinyl cutter which has enabled students to make connections between the digital and physical worlds. Thank you all for your continued support of the arts!
New England Stair Company (203) 924-0606
They have been helping me behind the scenes for a few years now, lets just say I appreciate everything they do!
Siemens Healthcare- Brookfield, CT
Thanks to the Scott Maslar and all the fine people at Siemens for their donation of plywood! What was scrap plywood became shelves, pantry organizers, book ends, clocks and so much more!
The Maslar family
Just one of the many fantastic families that I have had the pleasure of walking through my doors!
The Dixon family
Another amazing family! Their donations have gone above and beyond!
There have been many many many people who have gone above and beyond to help the program out, far too many to list! Thank you all!
Of course, I wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for the support of our local board of education, administration and fellow educators.
Thank you for supporting the ARTS!

First of all thank you for landing on this page!
In my Technology Education classroom- I stress creativity and exploration. Because of this- I often go through a wide variety of materials and supplies.
I find that the more varied the materials the more creative ideas I get in return. I also want to further expose my students to the merits of recycling and re-purposing old materials.
Some typical items my students use in class are:
The list goes on and on! If you have any items above and you want to get rid of them I would be happy to take them off your hands.
If you have something else kicking around the house that might prove useful, feel free to email me!
If you have something that is large and requires a pick-up (think pile of nail free scrap lumber, or a few sheets of plywood) I would be happy to swing by and pick it up.
While beggars can't be choosers: Use parental common sense. No crazy chemicals, fragile glass, any weapon-like item, etc.

Plant a Tree!
The class serves well over 600 students per year and while the class uses a variety of materials, wood is a major consumable. And as the old saying goes..."lumber doesn't grow on trees" ... oh wait it does and that's why I need you!
There are always positive and negative results to anything we build. What's important however, is that we weigh the pros and cons and think of the long term impacts.
My goal is to get 1 tree planted per student per year! Click here to help!
